Taught Her How To Leave

A father taught his daughter how to stand on her own, and then had to watch her go.

The video grows with her: a toddler holding his hand in a sunny yard, a child at the school-bus window, a teenager beside him on the porch steps, then eighteen by the highway.

It ends in an open field under a wide sky. She walks the path into the light; he stays behind, waving, prouder than he is sad.
